Daily – prophecy

Feeding of the 5000Son,

Daily I load you with benefits. Look out for the positives today – expect them. Be in an attitude of faith, of receiving. Open your eyes and look! As you received the Lord walk in him. Don’t expect evil and bad things, expect good and even in the very presence of your enemies I will spread a feast! So, even if there are negatives, problems and struggles, I promise  to turn even those things to good. Learn to receive my wisdom for today. What you need son, is not a TO DO list but a TO BELIEVE list!

Beloved Son, It is very important to learn to be in this attitude of receiving because that is how you learn to trust me, as you pray: “give us this day our daily bread”, not tomorrow’s supply or next weeks, but TODAY’s supply. NOW is the accepted time, TODAY is the day of salvation.

So remember son, daily I renew your strength. Live in heavenly rhythms, learn to rest and celebrate, to be restored daily. Every day is a brand new day. Don’t worry about tomorrow or dwell on yesterday. Learn to live in the present, to enjoy the fact that you are accepted in the beloved NOW and FOREVER and that you ARE righteous before me – justified, standing in grace. There is therefore NOW, TODAY, NO condemnation for those in Christ Jesus!

Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow and what you are going to eat or wear. Your Father in heaven knows that you need those things and will supply all your needs according to his riches. I supplied manna, daily bread to the children of Israel for 40 years without fail. Not once did I withdraw my supply. My supply did not depend on their works and performance, all they had to do was collect and receive. So likewise, I want you to enjoy the waves of grace and favour that are coming your way daily. I want to rock your world with goodness! It is only my goodness that changes your mind! Enjoy!

PS When the demand exceeds the supply, when what is required of you is beyond your ability then of course you will feel stressed and distressed and maybe even depressed. Learn to rest and receive my grace in those times, not to lean on your own strength and  understanding. My yoke is easy and my burden is light.

Much love, Father

Prophecy – poverty mentality?

Dear Son.

Illustration (c) Carol Winkler 2015

Stop looking at your bank account and your life with a lack or poverty mentality.  Jesus said to his disciples: “what do you have?” That is your starting point of faith today: to see what I have already provided and  –  be thankful.

Miracles of provision come when you offer what you have to God.  Jesus took the five loaves and two fish, gave thanks and then gave them to his disciples  to distribute.  Then, an amazing miracle of multiplication took place, such that there was more than enough and left-overs as well!

So engage with me on this, let my Holy Spirit teach you to receive your miracle. Its not by might nor by power but by my spirit says the Lord. The disciples said: ” we have no money and the shops are closed”. That’s looking at the problem and the lack.  Jesus said to them: “What do you have”, because he wanted their eyes off the lack and onto the starting block of faith. They had to get their minds off an argument of impossibility, to actually by faith, finding the source of provision standing in their midst – a small boy with five loaves and two fish!

Elijah prayed once and there was a cloud the size of a man’s hand.  An oak tree begins with a seed. Likewise, miracles of provision begin as we sow seeds of faith  – even if they are as small as a mustard seed!

God – How Generous Is He?

In part 3 of my series: “Living in God’s Abundant Supply”, I want to ask an important question in regards to God’s character – how generous is he? I believe what you believe in this regard will affect your ability to receive from God.

UnknownThe first lie the devil ever sold Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, was a seed of distrust. The devil intimated, that God lied when he said that they would die if they disobeyed his single command. He made out, that God was selfishly hiding something back from them – he was preventing them becoming gods! This was a ridiculous suggestion: that is what they already were, the “gods of their world”, and ruling over a fantastic paradise without suffering, hunger, sickness or any danger. All they had to do, was a bit of gardening and, as far as we know, there were no weeds!

Unknown-1What lie has the devil sowed in your heart? Is it, that God somehow begrudgingly saved you from an eternity in hell but somehow doesn’t care that you are sick today or unable to pay the bills? Is your image of God a divine scrooge or is it an amazing and generous heavenly father – who loves to bless you every day!

James 1:17 Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation, or shifting shadow

Romans 8:32 describes the lengths that God has gone to not only to save us, but bless us in every way:

He that spared not his own son but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things.

This is how generous God is, this is the measure and extent of his goodness and kindness and provision!  He is prepared to do everything it takes, to the extent of being prepared to sacrifice his own son for us – and we were his enemies! This love should overwhelm us!

Do you know anyone that matches this kind of generosity?

God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son (John 3:16)

He freely gives us all things. It doesn’t say a few good things. No, it says ALL!  There is only one limitation: it is with him (Jesus). Its ALL free and paid for in full. You can’t earn or deserve God’s provision and generosity, all you can do is believe and receive.

Jesus has personally laid down his life so that you can have eternal life. How fantastic is that?

2 Corinthians 8:9 For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.

This isn’t just a one-time deal either, (I think that would have been pretty good myself!) No, it’s daily provision. Even under the law, the children of Israel  were daily supplied manna in the wilderness and their clothes never wore out out. Under the new covenant the blessings greatly exceed this! Too many of God’s people are living on half rations, when a feast is available!

Psalm 68:19 Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah.

I can hear a few voices of doubt: “maybe all, only means spiritual blessings”?

Ephesians 1:3: Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

The following scripture (2 Peter 1:3) says it all and covers every base!

2 Peter 1:3 “According as his divine power hath given unto us ALL THINGS that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that called us to glory and virtue.

Yes, spiritual (godliness). However, God also cares about your life (zoe) and he’s interested in every aspect. Are you involving God in every aspect?

What has God done for you? Why not tell us at Gods Grace Works!

Living In God’s Supply (Part 2)

Ephesians 3:20 Now unto him that is able to do (exceeding abundantly above) all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.

What is God able to do? He is able to do ALL that we ask or think! If you think about that, it’s pretty awesome! It doesn’t say, some of what we ask or think, it says ALL. Nothing is impossible to God. That means, as his children, the full resources of heaven are at our disposal.

However, to activate God’s supply, our job is to ask and to imagine or think about what God might want to do for us. In other words, we have to use a bit of imagination and engage our brains! So right now, what can you believe for? What impossible situation can you imagine and believe that God will turn around when you pray?

Many a time, we don’t receive from God, because we haven’t actually asked him for anything specific. God wants us to engage with him, to communicate. He wants us to read his word, to find out what he has actually promised.

James 4:2 “yet ye have not, because ye ask not.”

As a result, now we have made our request (and it’s in line with God’s word) then, how he is going to respond? Our verse gives us the answer: “EXCEEDINGLY, ABUNDANTLY and BEYOND!” (In the original Greek, these words are emphasised to underline just how excessive God’s supply is!)

However, there is a restraint on the release of those resources. If we simplify the verse even further, it reads: “God is able to DO according to the power that works IN us.

Therefore, his power (making, action and work) is in proportion to the power (dynamic strength) that works (energizes) IN us. It all starts on the inside with faith and the work of the Holy Spirit. For example, Jesus said to the blind men, according to your faith be healed.

Matthew 9:29 Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you.

These blind men already had an expectation of being healed on the inside – they had faith.  In other words, they could already see themselves healed in their imagination and so therefore all it took was Jesus to connect and ignite the miracle with a touch and a word.

Consequently, lets think about how maybe many of us could be thinking, imagining and praying with too small an expectation. Is our vision limited? Maybe we are limiting the flow of God’s supply? Maybe the prayers we pray are hardly breaking the bank of heaven!

I believe God loves impossible requests. He wants to exceed our expectations. He wants us to download his good and perfect gifts:

“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.” James 1:17

So if God has a job for you to do, he’s already provided the means to get it done. Your job , is to believe God and access the supply of his grace by faith and practically as we have learnt, we express this by prayer.

Living in God’s Supply (Part 1)

Romans 5:17 For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.

In my opinion, this has got to be one of the best verses in the Bible! What an amazing statement. This verse gives us the key to a victorious life: you just receive! You don’t work hard, stay up all night, strive or earn, you just take what God is freely offering you.

The law put a demand on you, but God’s grace supplies your needs.

What do you receive? Two things: the abundance of God’s grace and the gift of righteousness.

violinImagine, a young and penniless concert violinist, who goes to an auction house looking for a better instrument. While there, he has the opportunity to play on an expensive and valuable Stradivarius Violin for sale. He plays brilliantly. When he’s finished, a businessman, who was listening closely, taps him on the shoulder and says: “The Violin is yours if you really want it. Meet me after the auction.”  Later that day, the businessman bids for the instrument and after bidding an enormous sum of money, obtains the Violin.

Now, if the violinist believes the promise made to him, he will simply turn up after the auction and politely take the instrument from the businessman’s hands. If he doesn’t turn up, then he certainly doesn’t believe the promise and he definitely doesn’t go home with a Stradivarius! If he turns up and offers to pay something towards the cost, he risks offending the businessman’s generosity. If he takes the instrument but offers to pay back the businessman in some way, then again he risks offence.

Similarly, God wants us to take from him his abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness! He wants you to live in the abundance of his supply. Get thinking, imagining, praying and believing and see your God exceed your expectations!
