God Wants To Restore You

The Good samaritan Luke 10

The Good Samaritan

Today, I believe God wants to restore you! He wants to resupply you, revitalise  and revive you. Many of us, are worn out and worn down by the enemy. Maybe, you feel a bit depressed as you struggle with the problems life throws at you. However, I know that God wants to restore to you the joy of your salvation. The devil wants you miserable; God wants you to rejoice again!
Psalm 51:12 Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.

Maybe though, you are struggling with an ongoing health issue, constantly sick, maybe in pain. I believe, Jesus wants to restore your health and heal you completely as you read this message today.

Jeremiah 30:17 For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the LORD; because they called thee an Outcast, saying, This is Zion, whom no man seeketh after.

On the other hand, maybe you feel like the previous scripture says: an outcast. It isn’t physical healing you need but emotional healing. You are struggling with deep and painful wounds as a result of spiritual battles you’ve been through – even wounded in the house of friends (the church).

Like the man in Luke 10, you’ve been robbed, beaten by thieves and left for dead by the side of the road. However, like the Good Samaritan, God wants to draw near, pour oil and wine into your wounds, tenderly put you on a donkey and take you to the inn. I believe, the Father is going to restore you and again enable you to find acceptance and healing amongst the body of believers.

Possibly though, you are reading this article and you’ve recently lost your job and are facing a financial prison. Let me tell you, God can send a Joseph to prophecy your restoration!
Genesis 40:13 Yet within three days shall Pharaoh lift up thine head, and restore thee unto thy place: and thou shalt deliver Pharaoh’s cup into his hand, after the former manner when thou wast his butler.

Nothing is beyond the power of God’s redemption. No mistake or problem is too hard for the Father. He can restore you no matter how broken you are.
Joel 2:25 And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.

In 2 Kings 8:1 there is an amazing story or restoration:

Now Elisha had said to the woman whose son he had restored to life, “Arise, and depart with your household, and sojourn wherever you can, for the Lord has called for a famine, and it will come upon the land for seven years.”

2 So the woman arose and did according to the word of the man of God. She went with her household and sojourned in the land of the Philistines seven years.

3 And at the end of the seven years, when the woman returned from the land of the Philistines, she went to appeal to the king for her house and her land.

4 Now the king was talking with Gehazi the servant of the man of God, saying, “Tell me all the great things that Elisha has done.”

5 And while he was telling the king how Elisha had restored the dead to life, behold, the woman whose son he had restored to life appealed to the king for her house and her land. And Gehazi said, “My lord, O king, here is the woman, and here is her son whom Elisha restored to life.”

6 And when the king asked the woman, she told him. So the king appointed an official for her, saying, “Restore all that was hers, together with all the produce of the fields from the day that she left the land until now.”

This lady, like many of us, has seen great miracles in the past  – her own son restored to life!
For the last seven years however,  because of the word of Elisha, she has been living in the land of the Philistines. In the meantime, her homeland of Israel has been ravaged by famine and a severe economic downturn.

Now however, it’s time to return, time to be restored and by faith she journeys back to Israel. God is already one step ahead of her – at the very moment she enters the palace, the servant of Elisha is telling the king the story of the women, (this women) whose son was raised from the dead!

Therefore, she not only has her land and her house restored to her but the king appoints an official to handle her case and restore even what was lost in revenue during those years of famine!

This is what God can do for you. Cry out and appeal to the king of heaven today –  to restore your house and land, then watch him work a miracle!
